This simple craft turns white cardstock into a ghost shape, then covers it with cotton balls for a soft, spooky look. Perfect for Halloween decor, kids will enjoy sticking on googly eyes and a black paper mouth. Let it dry and display your friendly ghost.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Take a piece of white cardstock or mini poster board and cut it into a shape resembling a bell or an upside-down U. You can choose to give the bottom a scalloped edge or leave it straight.
  2. Use scissors to cut out the shape you just drew.
  3. From black construction paper, cut a circle or oval to serve as the ghost's mouth and glue it onto the white shape.
  4. Attach two googly eyes using either adhesive ones or glue.
  5. Apply glue to the white areas around the eyes and mouth, avoiding the face details.
  6. Press cotton balls onto the glued areas, making sure they stick firmly.
  7. Continue adding cotton balls until the entire ghost body is covered.
  8. Let the glue dry completely.
