Halloween Kids' Craft: Make a Friendly Ghost Mum-ster
Turn a potted mum into a friendly ghost with just a few craft supplies!
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at hgtv.com.
This Halloween kids' craft transforms a white potted mum into a cute "Mum-ster" ghost. You'll paint the pot white, then cut self-adhesive black foam into eyes and a mouth to create the face. Display your creation indoors or in a sheltered outdoor area.
You'll need
Directions
- Using a chip or foam brush, apply 1–2 coats of white craft paint to the pot of the white potted mum. Allow the paint to dry completely between coats.
- Fold one sheet of black self-adhesive craft foam in half. On the paper backing, sketch a large oval shape for the eyes; cut along the line through both layers to create two matching eye cutouts. On the remaining foam, sketch an open mouth shape and cut it out.
- Peel the paper backing from the eye cutouts and stick them near the top of the painted pot. Then attach the mouth cutout below the eyes. Place your completed mum-ster in a sheltered outdoor spot or indoors.
