HALLOWEEN Make-up : Zombie
Transform into a zombie with this step-by-step makeup tutorial using red, purple, and black shadows for a terrifyingly decayed look.
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at deea-makeup.blogspot.com.
This zombie makeup tutorial starts with primer and eyeshadow foundation, then uses black contouring and red/purple eye shadows for a gory effect. It finishes with messy brows, dark redefined eyes, red lipstick blended with black, and hand-drawn wounds for depth. The result is a suitably spooky Halloween costume.
Directions
- Start by covering your entire face with a primer. I used a shade from the Sleek palette as shown in the reference image.
- Next, apply eyeshadow from the Coastal Scents 78-color palette. Use shade 1 on the center of your face and shade 2 on the outer areas.
- Contour your face and cheekbones with a black eyeshadow to create a dark, dramatic effect.
- For the eyes, apply a red shadow (shade 3 from the Beauties Factory 88 palette) to both upper and lower eyelids, blending it down toward the cheekbones.
- Outline the eyelids, especially the inner corners, with a purple shadow (shade 4 from the Coastal Scents 78 palette), blending it thoroughly with the red.
- Brush your eyebrows upward to give them a messy, disheveled appearance.
- Use an intense black shadow (MAC Carbon) to further contour and define the eyes.
- Apply a bold red lipstick to your lips, then add black shadow to the corners and blend it into the lipstick.
- Draw wounds using a lip liner, then deepen them by going over the lines with a thin brush and black shadow.
