This paper craft transforms colored construction paper into a rocking monster figure. By layering circles, folding the base, and adding paper features like horns, eyes, and teeth, you can build a unique character. Optional embellishments like extra eyes or googly eyes let you customize the creature's expression.
You'll need
Directions
- Start by taking a sheet of colored construction paper and cutting out a large circle to serve as the monster's body.
- Fold that circle in half to create a rocking base, ensuring the fold is neat so the figure can rock smoothly.
- Cut a second circle from the same colored paper and attach it to the front of the folded base.
- Shape two smaller pieces of paper into horn-like forms, resembling lollipops or rounded rectangles.
- Secure one horn to each side at the top of the face circle.
- Cut a large white circle for the eye, along with smaller triangles or ovals for the teeth. Also cut a smaller black circle for the pupil and a large black oval or crescent for the mouth.
- Glue the mouth to the lower section of the body, then attach the teeth so they point upward into the mouth. Center the large white eye and place the black pupil in its middle.
- Enhance the design by adding more eyes, drawing eyebrows, or swapping in googly eyes for a wiggly effect.
