This recipe shows you how to make four different Halloween pizzas using a single batch of dough. You'll create spider, mummy, ghost, and jack-o'-lantern designs with olives, mozzarella, pepperoni, and bell pepper. Each pizza bakes in 13 to 20 minutes at 450°F for a fun and festive meal.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F. On a well-floured surface, cut the ½ pound of pizza dough in half and let it warm to room temperature if it was refrigerated.
- Roll or toss each dough half into an 8-inch circle about ¼-inch thick.
- Lightly brush olive oil onto a pizza stone or large baking sheet. Place the dough rounds on the stone or sheet. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over each dough round.
- For spider pizzas: Cut 10 black olives in half. Set aside the whole halves for spider bodies. Slice the other halves horizontally into thin strips for legs. Sprinkle ½ cup shredded mozzarella over the sauce. Arrange a whole olive half, cut-side down, on the cheese for each spider. Place 8 strips around each olive to form legs. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- For mummy or ghost pizzas: For mummies, cut 4 slices of fresh mozzarella into strips and arrange them unevenly over the sauce to resemble bandages. Place 2 black olives on each pizza for eyes. For ghosts, place 3 mozzarella slices on each pizza. Slice 2 black olives and put 2 slices on each mozzarella slice for eyes. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- For jack-o'-lantern pizzas: Cut 3 pepperoni slices into triangles for noses. Slice the ½ orange bell pepper into 2 fun shapes for mouths. Sprinkle ½ cup shredded mozzarella over the sauce. Add 2 whole pepperoni slices for eyes, a pepperoni triangle for the nose, and the bell pepper shape for the mouth. Repeat for the second pizza. Top with the bell pepper stem if desired. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
