These edible eyeballs are made from gelatin and raisins, perfect for babies and toddlers. Using plastic Easter egg halves as molds, you can craft fun, squishy sensory play items. The process is quick and safe, requiring just a few ingredients and minimal prep time.
Ingredients
Directions
- Boil about three-quarters of a cup of water.
- Mix in enough food coloring to achieve desired color.
- Stir in one packet of unflavored Knox gelatin until completely dissolved.
- As the mixture stands, coat the interior of each plastic egg bottom with cooking oil.
- Place a single raisin into each greased egg half.
- Fill each mold to the top with the gelatin liquid.
- Chill in the refrigerator for half an hour to an hour, until firm.
