Halloween Sidewalk Lanterns

Create festive Halloween sidewalk lanterns using clear plastic cups, tissue paper, and Mod Podge. Simply decoupage the cups with torn tissue pieces, let dry, and file off excess paper. Add a flameless tea candle for a safe, glowing decoration.

You'll need

Plastic Tumblers (any sort of clear plastic cup with no lip would work great)

Tissue paper (I used orange, but yellow or white might be nice too)

Modge Podge

Luminaries/tea candles

Directions

Assemble all your materials.

Tear the tissue paper into a mix of larger and smaller pieces before you start.

Use your finger to apply a layer of Mod Podge over the entire outside of the cup, then press a large tissue piece onto it. Continue adding tissue and glue until the cup is fully covered.

Allow the cup to dry completely.

Once dry, take a nail file and gently sand away any tissue that hangs over the rim.

Place a flameless tea light inside, and your DIY sidewalk lanterns are ready to light up the night.
