These beaded pipe cleaner pumpkins are a fun and easy Halloween craft. With orange beads and pipe cleaners, you can create a pumpkin shape and add a curly green vine. Perfect for decorations or party favors.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Collect four orange pipe cleaners (12 inches each), one green pipe cleaner (12 inches), and about 130 orange pony beads.
  2. Line up the four orange pipe cleaners evenly at the ends and twist them together a few times in the middle.
  3. Spread the pipe cleaners apart so they are evenly spaced like spokes on a wheel.
  4. Thread orange pony beads onto each of the eight ends (each pipe cleaner has two ends), using roughly 16 beads per strand. Leave about an inch of pipe cleaner bare at each end for twisting.
  5. Once all beads are on, gently bend each end upward and gather all the tips together. Twist the ends a few times to secure the beads and form the pumpkin base.
  6. The twisted bunch at the top is the stem. If it looks too long, fold it in half and twist to shorten.
  7. Shape the pumpkin by pulling each beaded section outward from the center, curving them to create a sphere. Keep them evenly spaced like pumpkin ridges.
  8. For the vine, take the green pipe cleaner and wrap it around the orange twisted stem at the top.
  9. Continue wrapping the green pipe cleaner around the stem to cover it completely, leaving about 3 inches of green pipe cleaner sticking out from each end. If the stem is long, you may need an extra green pipe cleaner.
  10. Take each of the two green ends and curl them around your pinky finger to create spirals, forming the curly vine.
