PHOTO · PAPER-AND-GLUE.COM

Children use pre-cut paper shapes and googly eyes to create monsters on colorful backgrounds. A divided tray keeps materials organized for easy selection. Kids can design monsters with or without bodies, one eye or many, and add features like hair, spikes, or horns.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Cut construction paper scraps into various shapes: large ovals, circles, squares, and triangles for bodies or heads; medium narrow triangles for spikes; regular triangles for horns; skinny rectangles for legs and hair; circles and rectangles for mouths; tiny triangles and rectangles for teeth.
  2. Set out a glue stick and googly eyes.
  3. Arrange the supplies, preferably in a divided tray.
  4. Give each child a background cut from a quarter-sheet of construction paper in different colors.
  5. Let kids assemble monsters from the tray shapes—they can skip bodies, use one giant eye or many, and add hair, spikes, or horns.
