Create spooky illuminated decor by upcycling common household items like glass shades, buckets, and bottles. Add LED lighting and creepy embellishments for a ghostly glow. Assemble stable displays perfect for your yard or home.
Directions
- Collect upcycled items like glass lampshades, plastic pumpkin pails, secondhand lanterns, vases, candlesticks, mop heads, light fixtures, wine bottles, topiaries, or paper bags.
- Clean and modify the bases as needed—for instance, turn plastic pumpkin buckets into a stacked totem or transform thrift store vases into candle holders.
- Insert lighting such as LED candles, fairy lights, or bulbs into the prepared pieces to produce an eerie glow (e.g., blue/indigo for ghosts, orange or flame-shaped bulbs for candles).
- Enhance the Halloween theme by adding spooky touches like fake cobwebs, plastic spiders, soot-covered bones, cellophane treat bags, or painted accents.
- Put together the final decorations, making sure lights are securely placed and the items are stable enough for yard or indoor display.
