Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at myfrugalhalloween.com.
This quick craft uses a paper egg carton and a few supplies to make a tiny pumpkin. You'll cut two cups, glue them together, paint them orange, add a face, and top with a stem. Perfect for kids or as a festive table accent.
You'll need
Directions
- Use scissors or an Ex-acto knife to cut two cups from an empty paper egg carton. Make sure the cuts are straight so that when you put the two cups together, they fit flush against each other.
- Join the two pieces together with hot glue or white glue, forming an egg-like shape.
- Paint the outside of the glued cups orange and allow the paint to dry completely.
- Once the paint is fully dry, use a black Sharpie permanent marker to draw a jack-o-lantern face on the pumpkin.
- For the stem, poke a small hole in the top. Insert either a pipe cleaner, a rolled piece of tissue paper, or a strip of brown paper bag. If using paper bag, crumple it first to soften, then roll it. After inserting, shape the stem so it curves.
