Our own summary of the original by Cheyanne Holzworth — the full post and photos live at nospoonnecessary.com.
Transform a pumpkin into a functional mini keg by cutting a lid, hollowing it out, and installing a tap. Fill with your favorite beer, replace the lid, and dispense via the tap handle. It's a festive way to serve drinks at your next gathering.
Ingredients
Directions
- With a sharp serrated knife, slice roughly half an inch off the pumpkin's top to form a lid.
- Using a large spoon, scrape out all the pulp and seeds. You can discard them or save the seeds for roasting.
- About 2 to 3 inches above the pumpkin's bottom, use a coring tool or knife to create a hole matching the tap's diameter. Insert the tap through the hole and tighten the locking nut from the inside.
- Pour your chosen beer into the pumpkin, keeping the tap in a vertical position.
- Set the lid back on top. To serve, pull the tap handle forward and enjoy your mini keg.
