Mushroom Forest Decor for a Dark Cottagecore-Inspired Halloween
Transform a simple basket into an enchanted mushroom forest with this cottagecore Halloween project.

Create a dark cottagecore-inspired Halloween decoration using a grapevine basket, mosses, and decorative mushrooms. A small ghost candle adds a spooky touch to the rustic forest floor display.

- Clip away any unruly vine pieces from the grapevine basket so it looks neat.
- Trim a block of floral foam to fit snugly inside the basket and place it inside.
- Stuff Spanish moss around the foam block to conceal it completely.
- Place a light covering of reindeer moss on top of the foam to finish hiding it.
- Push short pieces of 18-gauge floral wire into the bottom of each decorative mushroom to make them into picks.
- Insert the mushroom picks into the floral foam beneath the moss to create a forest-like setting.
- Set a small ghost candle among the mushrooms to finish the Halloween look.
