This quick craft transforms ordinary paper plates into adorable Halloween bats. Paint the plate black, cut out wings and accordion legs from construction paper, glue them on, and finish with googly eyes. Perfect for a low-mess, kid-friendly activity.

  1. Using a foam brush, coat a small round dessert-sized paper plate with black acrylic paint. Allow it to dry completely.
  2. From black construction paper, cut out two bat wings and two strips for the legs.
  3. Fold the leg strips back and forth like an accordion, then glue them to the back of the plate along with the wings.
  4. Attach two googly eyes to the front of the plate with glue.
