Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at buggyandbuddy.com.
This simple craft uses three popsicle sticks, paint, and yarn to create a Halloween spider web. Kids can practice fine motor skills by wrapping yarn and then add a spider for extra fun. It's a perfect festive activity for little hands.
You'll need
Directions
- Connect three popsicle sticks together using glue. For faster drying, a hot glue gun works well.
- Apply tempera paint in Halloween shades like orange, purple, or green to the sticks and let them dry completely.
- Snip a generous length of yarn in black, white, or orange. Secure one end to a popsicle stick with a knot, then wind the yarn around each stick. Even if the pattern isn't perfect, kids will get fine motor practice and feel proud.
- When you finish wrapping, knot the yarn to a stick and leave a long tail to serve as a hanging loop.
- Decorate your web with a spider if you like. You can use a sticker, a mini plastic spider, or craft a small pom-pom spider to attach.
