These spooky spaghetti and eyeball meatballs are a playful twist on a classic dish. The 'eyeballs' are mozzarella pearls stuffed with capers, hidden inside meatballs. Black bean noodles and red marinara sauce create a ghoulish presentation.

Directions

To craft the eyeball meatballs, first make the eyeballs: use a straw to bore a small hole into a mozzarella pearl.

Push a caper into that hole to mimic a pupil.

Repeat for as many eyeballs as you desire.

Prepare the pre-cooked meatballs as directed on the package. Then, with a small spoon, scoop out a cavity in each meatball and insert a caper-stuffed mozzarella pearl.

Meanwhile, cook the black bean spaghetti according to its package instructions.

Twirl some cooked black bean spaghetti into a mound on a plate. Drizzle with marinara sauce for a bloody effect, and top with an eyeball meatball.
