This recipe combines savory sausage with Jiffy cornbread, celery, onions, and herbs for a classic Thanksgiving side. Bake until golden brown for a comforting dish that pairs perfectly with turkey and gravy.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a sauté pan over medium heat, cook the sausage until golden brown, about 10 minutes, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Transfer the cooked sausage to a separate bowl.
  4. In a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the diced celery, onions, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, sautéed vegetables, and crumbled cornbread.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and stir until well mixed. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool at room temperature before serving as a side dish.
