Learn to create a zombie Princess Jasmine look using a Plasto-Wax gash, gray foundation, and her signature cat eye. The tutorial covers building a 3D wound with cotton and fake blood, contouring with olive and gold, and applying purple and teal eyeshadow. Finish with a muddy brown lip for an undead Disney princess effect.

Directions

  1. Start by applying a strong adhesive like Pros-Aide ($24) to your forehead where the 3D gash will go. This extra-strong glue is the go-to for pros when attaching flesh-like effects.
  2. Use Natural Plasto-Wax ($12), a putty-like skin simulator, to form the wound. Press it onto the adhesive and stretch it into a liplike shape that will look like an open gash.
  3. Tear a cotton ball into small bits and push them into the wound for an infected look. Then seal everything with another coat of Pros-Aide cream and dust with loose powder to prevent melting and give a smooth, tack-free surface for further makeup.
  4. Rudshteyn notes that the wax may start crumbling from body heat, but that's perfect—zombies fall apart anyway. So any imperfections only add to the undead vibe.
  5. Using a firm liner brush, paint the inside of the gash with black color (try Make Up For Ever Flash Color, $19) to create depth. The black will look like clotted blood once the fake blood is added later.
  6. Zombies lack circulation, so their skin turns gray. Mix gray face paint with a tiny bit of your regular foundation to achieve that pallid look.
  7. Even with gray skin, contour and highlight are essential. Use olive green to shade the cheeks, jaw, and temples. Then apply an iridescent gold and light green mixture down the nose, on the Cupid's bow, and across the cheekbones to brighten.
  8. Keep Jasmine's signature cat eye even in zombie form. Begin by sketching the flick on both eyes while they're wide open to guarantee symmetry.
  9. Take a purple kohl pencil and line the crease, then smudge it outward at the corners.
  10. Layer a vibrant purple shadow over the liner on the outer corners. Then sweep a bold teal onto the center of the lids and inner corners to echo Jasmine's blue outfit.
  11. Line the lower lash line with a dark burgundy waterproof liner and smudge it. Then use white liner on the waterline to enlarge the eyes. Rudshteyn says the goal is an irritated, sunken look—more like dark circles than bloodshot eyes.
  12. As with the shadow, first map the winged liner on both eyes while open. Then pull the product from the outer corner inward with an angled brush (e.g., Make Up For Ever No. 172, $21).
  13. Carry the wing back along the lower lash line. Apply mascara to lower lashes first, then upper lashes—this order prevents smudging the completed eye look.
  14. Return to the gash and apply thick fake blood (like Make Up For Ever's, $26), dabbing some around the edges too. Rudshteyn suggests using your finger to slap and spread the blood for an irritated effect. Any face makeup mistakes can be disguised with more blood—it's a perfect fix!
  15. Outline the lips with a dark brown kohl liner (eyeliner works great here for its smudgy texture). Finish with a muddy brown lipstick like Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense No. 47 ($20).
