This collection features 17 creative Halloween games ranging from physical challenges like ghost punching and pumpkin rolling to brainy contests like Halloween Jeopardy and Ghoulish Recall. With options for kids, teens, and adults, you'll find everything needed to host an unforgettable Halloween party.

Directions

  1. For a Ghostbusters-inspired activity, assemble a punch board featuring ghostly figures made from cups, tissue paper, and rubber bands. Participants can break through the ghosts using Nerf guns or their fists to claim hidden treats.
  2. In "Don't Lose Your Head," each player receives a skeleton hand and a tiny skull that fits into its grasp. Players hold the hand with one hand while keeping the other behind their back. On your signal, they attempt to knock skulls off opponents' hands while protecting their own.
  3. Create a homemade ghost-themed bowling set, then invite kids and adults alike to roll skulls down the lane to knock over pins.
  4. Construct a spinner using a bone, cardboard, and a straw. Then enjoy one of three accompanying games where players spin to land on a treat instead of a trick.
  5. In Monster March, each participant receives a character and color assignment. As dice rolls call out characters, players advance, but beware—risking everything is part of the fun.
  6. Arrange pumpkin-shaped buckets and have players bounce ping pong balls into them to earn prizes.
  7. Prepare a disgustingly delightful witch's brew using items like noodles and cottage cheese. Blindfolded participants then race to locate hidden objects within the mixture.
  8. For Pumpkin Roll, contestants send pumpkins rolling toward a target; the pumpkin's resting position determines their prize.
  9. Enjoy a spooky twist on the classic quiz show with Halloween Jeopardy. This ready-to-use PowerPoint includes over 120 questions for teens and adults.
  10. Inspired by Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas, this wheel game tests your luck as players spin to win—or lose—everything.
  11. Form teams for a Tournament of Terror, a Halloween Olympics featuring challenges like skeleton reassembly races, bone stick relays, witch's brew digging, and potion-making.
  12. Set up a ring toss with witch hats; attach prizes to the bases. Children stand closer, adults farther. Ringing a hat earns that prize.
  13. Teams go head-to-head in Halloween Family Feud, predicting the most popular survey responses to score points.
  14. Each player gets three cups and eyeball ping pong balls. On the count of three, everyone bounces balls into opponents' buckets. Scoring a hit turns that bucket over; lose all three and you're out. The last player with untouched buckets wins.
  15. Create a tic-tac-toe grid with tape. Two players, each using different colored plastic spiders, take turns sliding them into the grid. If a spider is dislodged, the offending spider claims that space.
  16. For Pumpkin Plinko, attach large cups or mini pumpkins (with prizes) to the table's edge. Arrange orange plastic cups across the table, then lift one end to create an incline. Players drop ping pong or Halloween bouncy balls from the top, aiming for the cups to win.
  17. Ghoulish Recall challenges players to study a Halloween-themed image displayed on screen (PowerPoint provided). The game has difficulty levels for kids, teens, and adults.
