This project uses a garage sale lantern, spider rings, fishing line, hot glue, and battery-operated tea lights to create a festive Halloween decoration. The process involves preparing the spiders, suspending them inside the lantern, and applying a web-like glue pattern to three sides while leaving one side open for the lights.

- Start by snipping the circular band away from several spider rings, leaving just the arachnid figures.
- Measure out several long strands of fishing line and secure one end to each spider using hot glue.
- Position each spider inside the lantern by gluing the opposite end of its line to the top interior surface.
- Repeat this suspension method for a total of three spiders, then trim any excess line that hangs down.
- Allow your glue gun to heat up fully, then squeeze small amounts of glue onto the lantern surface and lift the nozzle to stretch thin strands. Keep repeating this motion across the exterior until the desired web pattern forms.
- Spread the glue webs across three sides of the lantern, ensuring one side remains clear for inserting the battery-powered tea lights.
