Black Magic Margaritas

This recipe creates two eerie black margaritas using food coloring and black sanding sugar. Simply rim the glasses, mix the tequila, triple sec, and lime juice with food coloring until black, then add ice and garnish.

Ingredients

2 tbsp. black sanding sugar

2 c. ice

4 oz. silver tequila

2 oz. triple sec

1/3 c. lime juice

Red food coloring

Blue food coloring

Green food coloring

Lime slices, for garnish

Directions

Moisten the rims of two glasses with a lime wedge, then dip them into black sanding sugar to coat.

Pour the tequila, triple sec, and lime juice into the glasses and stir well. Add two drops each of red, blue, and green food coloring, then stir again. Keep adding drops until the mixture turns black.

Fill each glass with ice and garnish with a lime slice before serving.
