Ingredients
Directions
- Lightly coat the mini skull baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- On a floured surface, roll or stretch the pizza dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into 6 roughly equal rectangles.
- Place one dough rectangle into a skull cavity. Add pizza sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, and your chosen toppings. Spoon a little extra sauce (no more than 1 tablespoon) on top of the fillings.
- Fold the dough over the fillings and pinch the edges to seal, forming a small pizza pocket. Repeat for all 6 pieces.
- Refrigerate the filled skull tray while the oven preheats.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Remove the tray from the fridge and bake for 16–20 minutes, until the skulls are lightly golden brown. (Baking time may vary depending on the dough.)
- Let the skulls cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then unmold. Serve with marinara sauce and a sprinkle of chopped parsley or basil if desired.
