Transform a few fat quarters into a charming fall wreath in no time.
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at blessthismessplease.com.
This quick project uses five fat quarters and a wire hanger to create a rustic rag wreath. Cut fabric strips, tie them onto a circular hanger, scrunch tightly, then fluff for a messy, full look. Add a bow if desired for extra flair.
You'll need
Directions
- Using your rotary cutter or scissors, slice 15 fabric strips, each measuring 2 inches by 6 inches.
- Bend a wire hanger into a round shape to form your wreath base.
- Secure fabric strips onto the circle by knotting them. Push them close together as you work.
- Keep knotting and packing the strips until the wreath reaches your desired fullness.
- Adjust and twist the fabric pieces so they stick out in all directions—the more chaotic, the better.
- If you like, attach a large bow at the top near the hanger's hook.
