Directions
- Dye each garment to your chosen colors following the manufacturer's instructions, then let them dry completely.
- Once dry, use hot glue to randomly attach white ball pit balls all over each outfit.
- From felt or foam sheets, cut out ear, nostril, and tooth shapes, then glue them onto the hats.
- For the ears: add a dab of hot glue to the center of the bottom of each ear, pinch the corners together, and hold until dry. Then glue the ears to each side of the hat to mimic hippo ears.
- To avoid gluing the hippos directly to your walker, tape cutouts of felt or foam sheets as a base where you want the hippos. We placed the hippos on the edge of the walker tabletop.
- Cut styrofoam balls in half to form the hippo's body, and glue them onto the base.
- Glue styrofoam or ball pit balls onto the body to form the head.
- Cut black rectangles from your felt or foam sheet to create the handles, as seen on the Hungry Hungry Hippo board game.
