This DIY guide shows how to make three pumpkin-based treats: a hydrating face mask, a protein-packed smoothie, and a gentle lip scrub. Each uses simple ingredients like pumpkin puree, honey, and almond milk for a seasonal self-care routine.
Ingredients
Directions
- In a small bowl, stir together 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree, ½ teaspoon honey, and ½ teaspoon unsweetened almond milk. If using fresh pumpkin, scoop out the insides, remove seeds, and blend the pulp until creamy before mixing with honey and milk.
- Apply the mask to your face and neck with your fingers or a medium makeup brush, keeping it away from the eyes. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, then gently remove with a warm damp washcloth and follow up with moisturizer.
- For the smoothie: combine 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, ½ cup pumpkin puree, 1 teaspoon honey (or agave/sweetener), 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, and 6 ice cubes in a blender. Blend until smooth, then taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- For the lip balm: mix 2 tablespoons coconut oil, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1 teaspoon pumpkin in a small bowl. Transfer to a covered jar. Apply to lips with a finger and rub gently back and forth, then finish with a layer of pumpkin pie lip balm.
