Halloween how-to: Creepy-crawly plates and cups
Turn ordinary plates and cups into creepy crawly delights with pipe cleaner spiders and googly eyes!

Transform black paper plates into spider-themed dinnerware by attaching bent pipe cleaners as legs using hot glue. Give cups a spooky makeover with googly eyes and top them off with striped straws adorned with tiny plastic spiders.

- For the spider plates, begin by taking 4 pipe cleaners and folding each one in half.
- Use a hot glue gun to attach the bent pipe cleaners to the underside of a paper plate. Place a small dab of glue at the fold and press it onto the rim, adding two pipe cleaners on each side.
- Shape the pipe cleaners by bending them to resemble spider legs.
- To decorate the cups, simply stick two googly eyes onto each cup. Adhesive googly eyes are easiest, but you can also use hot glue for regular ones.
- Finish the cups by inserting an orange and black striped straw and gluing a small plastic spider onto the straw, positioning it slightly below where your mouth would touch.
