This tutorial shows you how to create a shocking unzipped-face effect using a real zipper, glue, and makeup. You'll mark the area with brown eyeshadow, build texture with glue, then cover everything with foundation and red eyeshadow. Finish by attaching the zipper and contouring the opening with black eyeshadow for depth.

Directions

  1. Lay the zipper on your face where the 'red' area will be, then trace around it with a thin angled brush and brown eyeshadow to mark the boundaries.
  2. Brush an even layer of glue over the entire marked area, then press on tiny bits of glue to create a bumpy, textured effect.
  3. Apply foundation over the whole glue-and-skin zone and let it dry completely.
  4. Dust red eyeshadow over the entire surface, then deepen the shadows using lipglosses from the ELF Beauty Book for darker areas.
  5. Fix the zipper in place with double-sided tape, line the inside with black eyeshadow using a thin brush to add depth, blend well, and make tiny touch-ups on the glue pieces.
