These Halloween mini pizzas are easy and adorable. Make three designs: a spider with olive legs, a pepperoni jack-o'-lantern, and a cheese-wrapped mummy. They bake in just 8-9 minutes at 500°F.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup warm water, 1/2 tablespoon yeast, and 1/2 tablespoon sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly. Add 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt, mixing until a dough forms. Knead gently, adding more flour if needed, to create a soft dough. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 500°F. After resting, divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and let them rest another 5 minutes. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone liner and sprinkle with cornmeal.
  2. To make the spider pizza, pat one dough piece into a 5-inch circle. Spread with pizza sauce and top with shredded mozzarella. Cut a black olive in half lengthwise; place one half cut-side down in the center for the body. Cut the end off another olive to form the head and place it near the body. Slice the remaining olive parts into thin strips for legs and arrange them on the sides of the body.
  3. For the jack-o'-lantern pizza, pinch off a small piece from a dough ball and set aside. Shape the remaining dough into an oval pumpkin form. Roll the small piece into a stem and press it onto the top. Spread with pizza sauce, then top with mozzarella and a sprinkle of cheddar. Cut slices of pepperoni into a jack-o'-lantern face and place them on the pizza.
  4. For the mummy pizza, tear string cheese into thin strips. Pat a dough piece into a 5-inch circle and spread with pizza sauce. Place two olive slices near the top for eyes. Layer the string cheese strips over the pizza to resemble mummy wrappings.
  5. Arrange the assembled pizzas on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-9 minutes, until the crust is lightly browned and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
