Ingredients
Directions
- In a stand mixer bowl, put the sugar, yeast, and warm water. Stir gently and let it sit for 5 to 8 minutes until bubbly.
- After the yeast is foamy, add the rest of the ingredients. Mix until combined, with no visible flour. If too wet, add more flour; if too dry, add a bit more olive oil.
- Knead the dough for a couple minutes by hand or using the mixer. Form it into a ball, lightly oil the bowl, put the dough back, and cover with a light towel.
- Let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Set your oven to 475°F to preheat.
- Once risen, turn the dough out onto a greased surface. Shape it into a large circle.
- Transfer the dough to a pizza pan, baking sheet, or pizza stone.
- Add your desired toppings like marinara, pepperoni, black olives, mozzarella, and provolone.
- Bake for 15 minutes until the crust is fully cooked and the top is golden.
- Take it out of the oven and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
