You'll need

Directions

  1. Collect all necessary items: a styrofoam wreath form, a styrofoam skull head, a top hat headband, black and white yarn, floral wire, wire cutters, wired ribbon, scissors, a hot glue gun, and glue sticks.
  2. Wrap the wreath foam with alternating black and white yarn to create stripes, securing loose ends with hot glue. Adjust the wrapping so the stripes are wider on the outer edge and narrower toward the inner edge.
  3. Fashion three large bows from wired ribbon, stacking them with each slightly smaller than the one below. Create two smaller bows using purple and green ribbons, snip the loops to form a star-like shape, and place these on top of the larger bows. Secure all bows with wire and add hot glue for extra hold.
  4. Slice off the back of the styrofoam skull to create a flat base. Attach the skull to the wreath form using hot glue, or use wire if you have a heavier plastic skull.
  5. Detach the top hat from the headband and glue it onto the skull. Wrap floral wire around the hat's base and the wreath to reinforce. Embellish with extras such as glittery wreath picks or black puff ball picks. To counterbalance the skull, glue a fishing weight to the back of the wreath.
