This activity combines a printable monster craft with a writing prompt. Kids cut out and assemble colorful monster pieces, then use the included writing template to spark a story. Perfect for Halloween or creative play.

Print each template page on the matching colored cardstock as indicated at the top of the page.

Use scissors to cut out every monster piece with care.

Start building the monster from the face: glue the half-circle piece to the bottom of the large circle, tucking the teeth underneath and gluing them. Then attach the eyes.

Glue each ear onto the back of the head at the bottom, then add the hair piece.

Connect the head to the body, then add the wings behind the body. Finally, glue on any spot pieces you like.

Optionally, glue the entire monster onto a sheet of colored cardstock for a background. Let everything dry.

Use the last printable page for the writing prompt: print the writing template and use it as is, or mount it onto colored cardstock.
