This clever costume uses an oversized black sweatshirt as its base, adorned with marabou trim and a wired tail. Cat ears are crafted from sleeve fabric, and a sheer ribbon with floral wire whiskers completes the feline face. It's a simple, no-sew project perfect for a cool Halloween look.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Start by making the devil costume base with an oversized black sweatshirt. Attach the marabou boa around the collar using fabric glue.
  2. From one sleeve, cut a 1-inch-wide strip at your preferred tail length. Straighten a metal hanger and glue it along the strip's center, then cover with marabou. Attach the finished tail to the back of the sweatshirt.
  3. Use leftover sleeve fabric to cut two triangles roughly 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. Glue them to the top of a black headband. Inside each ear, glue a small marabou tuft.
  4. Measure from your child's nose around the face, then cut a length of sheer ribbon that can tie at the back of the head. Glue three 3-inch white floral wire pieces on each side of the ribbon's center, and top the center with a black pompom to create whiskers and a nose.
