Rocking Dracula Vampire Craft for Kids
Create a rocking Dracula vampire that wobbles and spooks—perfect for Halloween fun!
Our own summary of the original by In The Playroom — the full post and photos live at intheplayroom.co.uk.
This craft uses cardboard or a paper plate to create a rocking base for a Dracula figure. Kids can assemble paper pieces for the face, hair, cape, and bow tie, adding personality with a button and details. The folded cardboard allows the vampire to tip back and forth when pushed.

Directions
- Start by cutting a circular shape from your cardboard. If you'd prefer, you can skip this and just use a paper plate as the base.
- Fold that circle in half. This creates the rocker shape so your vampire can wobble back and forth.
- From black construction paper, cut out another circle the same size. Glue it centered onto the cardboard circle. Then cut a small triangle out from the middle of the black circle to form Dracula's collar — that little detail gives him lots of character!
- Use your template to trace and cut out all the remaining pieces: Dracula's face, hair, eyes, bow tie, and a bright red cape.
- Attach Dracula's head to the back of the cardboard circle so it appears just above his collar. Also glue the red cape onto the back, giving him that classic vampire style.
- Now for the final touches: stick on the eyes and a button on the front for a spooky look. Add the hair and eyebrows to give expression, and finish with the ribbon bow tie. Your rocking Dracula is complete!
