Layer colorful Sour Patch Kids in shot glasses, then pour in flavored Jell-O mixed with vodka. After chilling until set, top with Cool Whip, matching candies, and sanding sugar for a festive, sweet-and-sour party shot.

Ingredients

110 to 120 blue, yellow, green, orange, and red Sour Patch Kids, plus more for serving

1 (3-oz.) pkg. berry blue Jell-O

5 c. vodka, divided

1 (3-oz.) pkg. lemon Jell-O

1 (3-oz.) pkg. lime Jell-O

1 (3-oz.) pkg. orange Jell-O

1 (3-oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O

1 (3.4-oz.) package lemon Jell-O

Cool Whip and blue, yellow, green, orange, and red sanding sugars, for serving

Directions

Place two matching Sour Patch Kids of each color into 55 to 60 shot glasses.

In a glass measuring cup, combine 1 cup boiling water with the berry blue Jell-O and stir until dissolved. Whisk in 1 cup vodka, then pour the mixture into the shot glasses containing blue candies. Repeat this process for each remaining Jell-O flavor (lemon, lime, orange, strawberry) and corresponding colored candies, using fresh boiling water and vodka each time.

Chill the shots in the refrigerator until they are fully set, which takes about 2 hours.

Before serving, top each shot with a dollop of Cool Whip, a color-coordinated Sour Patch Kid, and a sprinkle of matching sanding sugar.
