This tissue paper pumpkin craft guides children through a step-by-step process of creating a vibrant autumn decoration. Using green and orange tissue paper, PVA glue, and a pumpkin template, kids will tear, crumple, and glue paper balls onto a printed outline. The activity encourages fine motor skills and creativity as they fill the pumpkin shape, resulting in a festive piece perfect for Halloween or fall decor.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Obtain the pumpkin outline from the Arty Crafty Kids members' section, or design your own version. Transfer the design onto sturdy paper or white cardstock.
  2. Rip apart the green and orange tissue paper, then crumple or roll the pieces into small, round shapes.
  3. Apply a light coating of PVA glue (either liquid adhesive or a glue stick) to one area of the printed outline. Press the crumpled paper balls onto the sticky surface, keeping them inside the pumpkin's borders.
  4. Repeat the gluing and placing process across the entire design. Guide young crafters to stay within the lines, packing the paper balls tightly together to cover all the empty white areas.
  5. Persist with this method until the pumpkin shape is entirely covered with no gaps remaining.
