Directions
- Begin by thoroughly washing the interior of your glass jar. After rinsing, use rubbing alcohol to wipe down the surface, ensuring it is completely clean and ready for the paint to adhere properly.
- Take the Rust-Oleum Mirror Effect spray paint and apply it to the inside of the jar. Hold the can at a consistent distance and spray evenly to create a reflective surface.
- Apply a thin first coat and allow it to dry completely. Then, add a second light coat, continuing this process layer by layer until you achieve the desired level of shine and coverage.
- Once the paint has fully dried, place the battery-operated LED light with a timer inside the jar. This will illuminate the mirrored interior and create a glowing effect.
- Secure the cork lid back onto the jar. Your upcycled lantern is now complete and ready to be displayed.
