This project involves creating a Halloween-themed play dough kit using unscented dough tinted with Wilton gel colorings. The kit is assembled in a GLIS divided container from Ikea, featuring three batches of colored dough, various plastic insects and creatures, mini apple sauce containers as cauldrons, play kitchen utensils, and zip-close bags for storage or gifting.

Directions

Prepare three individual portions of plain, fragrance-free modeling compound. Use Wilton gel dyes to tint each batch with bright, spooky shades perfect for the season.

Collect an assortment of small, thematic accessories. You will need tiny plastic rodents, miniature arachnids, insects like flies and ants, purple bat figures, and oversized monster eyes.

Choose a GLIS compartmentalized bin from Ikea to serve as the main storage vessel for your creation.

Transfer the colored dough into one of the larger sections of the bin. If you plan to give this as a present or need long-term storage, place the dough inside a zip-close bag first.

Arrange the various creepy crawlies and decorative items into the smaller front compartments of the container.
