Make a monster-shaped meatloaf using a blend of beef and pork, shaped into a skull with bacon and a tangy glaze. Perfect for Halloween parties, this dish is both delicious and delightfully eerie.
Ingredients
Directions
- Heat the oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, bread crumbs, parsley, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well blended, then transfer the mixture to the prepared pan.
- Shape the meat into a skull form, creating deep indentations for the eyes and mouth. Place the hard-boiled egg halves into the eye sockets. Arrange bacon strips over the forehead, nose, and chin areas.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and barbecue sauce. Brush the glaze over the meatloaf. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. When done, insert garlic cloves into the mouth area as teeth, attach candy eyes (or black olive slices) to the hard-boiled eggs, and brush with additional sauce.
