Start by steeping black tea bags with maple syrup in boiling water, then chill the mixture for hours. Just before serving, stir in apple slices and apple cider for a refreshing autumn drink.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat 4 cups of water over high heat until boiling. Pour the boiling water into a large heatproof pitcher or jar, then drop in 3 black tea bags and stir in 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup. Let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on how strong you like it.
  2. Remove and discard the tea bags. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until it's well chilled—at least 4 hours, but you can leave it up to 12 hours.
  3. When you're ready to serve, stir in the thinly sliced red apple and 2 cups of apple cider until everything is combined.
